I rarely pass along or share memes that I see on Facebook. Most of the time I find them more annoying than anything.
But this hit very close to home. Daughter #2 served at one of the bases hit in Iraq this week back in 2016-17.
It should hit home, no matter which side of the great divide you find yourself on in our country today.
It is time for us to set aside our petty differences. It is time to seek out that which unites us. It is time to respect and honor those willing to make the ultimate sacrifice on our behalf by coming together and being a nation worth fighting for.
Our national security is threatened when our hatred towards one another is greater than our love for our country.
Our men and women in uniform belong to all of us. Let us support and pray for them.
So very true – prayers for you and yours too
Yes, I’m in tears, praying.

Just reposted the pic…my daughter served in Iraq and several other places. Now she and her sister are married to army men and serving out of the country. Thank you for this post!
Well said, Katy.
very good thoughts, katy. even tho i have no ‘personal’ boots on the ground right now, i have had a dad with three separate tours, 2 husbands in bad places that got terrible reception when returned from viet nam. don’t remember how many we lost from high school but it was a high number. being a military brat makes a difference always – the whole family pays the price. enough. patti in florida
Yes! Prayers being said.
Well said. Amen
Amen!
YES!!
Amen!!
Amen.
We are on the same page, Katy!
Praying for those keeping us safe!
Now, if we could just get that out to all Americans! ‘Boots on the ground’ is a breath-taking statement when it is your son or daughter in those boots. I remember years ago as my brother was going to Viet Nam. It was the first time I saw my mother cry.
Let us pray for all those boots and for the ones that send them. May it turn in our favor. God Bless.
Well said!! I totally agree. Hugs,
Yes, yes, yes, Katy.
Thank-you!
Thank YOU, Miss Katie – “Dear God, Please protect those who gallantly and faithfully protect us and our way of life.” Amen.
There were `clapping` `clapping` symbols that were omitted as well. Nicely said.
Thank you! ~smile~ Roseanne
Well said. Prayers are being said for our military and our country.
I hear you, Katy. Our personal “skin in the game” deploys within next 2 weeks (Navy helicopter pilot – niece’s husband) – to be followed in a while by a Marine captain (another niece’s husband). Will be praying for the safe return of all on the ground.
