The top of my Christmas quilt is together. I hope to get this quilted and the binding machine sewn before the weekend so I can relax with the hand stitching this weekend.
I’ve been listening to this book. I find it quite interesting. I will say that I feel a bit lost now and again, Temple Grandin is quite a ways above me on the IQ scale.
E1 and E2 helped me trim my tree! Winslow has been doing her best to untrim it. 🤦🏻♀️
I have a new quilt inspector.
E3 thought he was pretty funny!
I found this on the inter webs some years ago. It still makes me laugh!
Lastly, Fat Quarter Shop is ramping up their deals this week. Click the link and check out their Flash Sales.

Love that room – the blue wall with the flag (even at Christmas, ha ha). Looks so crisp and patriotic. Cute puppies too!
Love that Christmas quilt!
I also have a grandson on the autism spectrum and we were privileged to hear Temple Grandin speak a few years ago when she came to our local university. Very enlightening.
LOL–great dialogue about the snake.
Your room is so pretty and I love all the stockings hanging from the mantel!! You have the sweetest little helpers. Hugs,
The Christmas quilt is beautiful. I love the simplicity of it and that makes it so very striking but the quilt models are the best part of this post. Your home looks so warm and welcoming. I bet your guests extend their stays 🙂 I am familiar with Temple Grandin and her work. I will check for her audiobooks in my library.
Hi Katy! Oh, your new quilt inspector is SO CUTE. Your room looks so festive and welcoming. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Enjoy! ~smile~ Roseanne
Temple Grandin’s work and books/movie unlocked a mystery that had eluded us for years with our younger son – the multiple diagnoses/medications for his mental conditions never fully explained/managed his behavior. Adding in understanding of the autism spectrum made all the difference. He is a much healthier person now.
Watch the Temple Grandin movie now that you’ve read the book. I think you’ll enjoy it. Those littles are delightful (both kids and pups). I love the way the quilt turned out!
Your Christmas quilt turned out very well — what a great way to use all those red/green scraps! (And such cute grandboys.)
My oldest grandson has significant autism and I have read all of Temple Grandin’s books. She is amazing! Your tree is fantastic and those grandkids are adorable! Happy Thanksgiving!
