I’ve been working on the kitchen! First up, appliances. I created these from solid blocks of wood. I sawed grooves to look like the edges of the doors. I used buttons for stove burners, and I cut the pull handles out of wood. The knobs on the stove are slices of dowel.
I planned to do a wooden countertop, but I ran across this scrap of vinyl tile that I used on the big house. It made for a perfect marble top instead. The handles are made from beads. I still need to figure out a sink.
It took a bit of math to get the scale right.
I still need to make a dining table to go with the chairs from Shasta, and a sink and then I can accessorize.
Have a great weekend!
You make this look like so much fun, I almost want to try one myself (but I have no room)! I’m sitting here contemplating nifty ideas for sinks . . .
The addition of the your hand crafted kitchen appliances and “marble” countertop is nothing short of amazing, Katie. This has to be so much fun watching it all come together from your own imagination. I love it!
Love seeing your houses come together. Very creative, using what you have.
I love all your mini furniture. It’s been fun watching your house come together.
