Dollhouse Chronicles ~ A Very Generous Gift

I recently received an email from reader, Shasta. She asked if I would like some dollhouse furniture that she had collected on travels and such. Of course, I said yes! But I was not prepared for this lovely box. How cute is this?

Even her note was adorable!

And just look what was inside!

Wow! So many beautiful little treasures.

These are exactly what I needed for my mid mod ranch house. I just need to make a table.

I have met the sweetest, kindest, most generous people through my blog. Thank you again, Shasta! BTW, Shasta blogs at High Road Quilter. Go visit and see her lovely quilts!

Have a great day!

You are a very kind person. Thank you for passing it forward. Your embroidery is beautiful. I’m beginning my journey into dollhouses (not miniatures, I’m obsessed) and my first thing is crocheting pillows and blankets. I also plan to embroidery sheets and pillowcases. I will also reduce photos of my own art for the walls. Good job Shasta.

I somehow found an organization in my city where they finish old quilts and auction them off for charity. Please consider doing something like this if you don’t find someone who wants it.

I’m so happy you received such a gracious gift from a kindred spirit.

  4. Actually, that brings up a question: I received a box of quilting hand-me-downs, among which was a dollhouse quilt. Not a dollhouse sized quilt, but a quilt of a doll house. The pattern is there and it is partially finished. Interested?

You’re quite welcome. I embroidered the ones with the embroidery and made that plastic canvas one. Looks like the tiny pillow fell off the bed. It was glued there.

How cool is THAT?? Look at that precious grandfather’s clock, sideboard, bench with a matching chair and a piano! This was so thoughtful of Shasta.
