Believe it or not, I have 12 of these flowers done!

I’m not sure what my next step will be. I’m thinking about appliqueing these to background blocks. Or they could become a border for a medallion quilt. Hmmmm….. I have no idea. Maybe I should make more…..or not.
Have a good one!

About katyquilts
I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!
I’ve made a small quilt with hexie flowers a couple of times and I love it. I applique them to background squares and then make snowball blocks with a neutral fabric. Got the idea on pintrest and really like the way it turned out.
I have a stack of 20 waiting for me to do something with them, so I’m going to watch and see what you do, for inspiration. I’ve been eyeing the Kingfisher design by Stitched in Color as one idea.
How about a small quilt for your collection. Every small quilt collection should have a hexie one.
They’re so cute.
Those are so pretty!! Make it a travel project and they’ll add up. Hugs,
