I finished this up Wednesday night and planned to take pictures Thursday morning. Mother Nature had other plans.
I headed to the west side of the state Thursday afternoon to visit Daughter #3 and it was raining when I left home, so I took it with me hoping for better weather along the way. It rained almost all the way there. But about ten minutes from her house, the clouds parted, the rain stopped, and I was able to get pics on her fence!
The quilting lines are very close. I’ve heard this called matchstick quilting. It takes forever, but I think it’s worth it for a piece like this. I used a facing instead of a binding to finish the edges.
There is a local art show coming up and this will be one of my entries. I need to get moving on the other one!
Gosh, I love her fence!
Have a great day!
It is a winner.
I love your quilt!!! I was hoping you would use that layout it was my favorite. I love the way you quilted it also, just perfect. I love the fence too. Hugs,
Wow, was that fast! I love the outcome. This is my favorite layout now!!
Love your quilt! Your creativity is just fabulous!!!!!
Oh, I do love this quilt! I’m just itching to do some improv, but I have projects I need to finish. Thanks for filling my creative itch by letting me watch your process with this beauty!
Hi Katy! I have enjoyed watching this project come to fruition and love the end result. What size did it finish at? Just curious. Now you can get back to those other blocks you were playing with! Happy Friday to you. ~smile~ Roseanne
