Slow Unstitching Sunday

Nope, not a typo. I’m taking this apart.

This has been a UFO for decades! I bought the fabric in Amsterdam in 1999. I thought I had a great idea and put it together as you can see in this pic.

And it has waited and waited and waited for inspiration in how to finish. It isn’t coming. So I’m taking it apart to rework it. Wish me luck.

Have a great day!

  1. Good luck indeed! What a project. I love this and I hope you have fun with it! Wish I could say you have inspired me to dig out and finish some of my projects from the 90’s, but somehow, I doubt it.

I would love to know if you have any idea of what you want to do. I have about 1500 1 inch
hexies. I have made many into diamond shapes and started putting them together. Not sure about this either.I have searched the web for ideas and can’t find anything I like better than what I have done.

I give you a lot of credit. Since handwork isn’t my favorite, would find it painful to tear all that apart. Bet you’ll make something gorgeous!
