The fabrics for Daughter #3’s quilt came. These are Moda Cross Weaves. They are just beautiful.
Even the trimmings are pretty! But they do fray.
Daughter #3 is a bit of a minimalist. Is that an oxymoron? 😄 She chose the palette and I chose the fabrics. She wanted something minimal and stripey. The blocks below are not pieced, the strips are just pinned in place. They will finish at one inch wide. The black cos are twenty inches square.
I wish I had a bigger wall. There will be 25 blocks and I need more room to play!
I may have to resort to using these. 🤷🏻♀️
Have a great day!
Oh my yes! My daughter would love this quilt too!
I love where your going with this so far. The fabric and colors are lovely. Hugs,
The fabric reminds me of a silk shantung dress I had in the 60’s.
Love the texture of the fabrics and the color palette but to make it more suited to the minimalist I would use fewer stripes and let the cream/tan be the star and the strips of color less so that they are just the accent.
That fabric is amazing! I like where you are going with the design too. Will be watching your progress 🙂
