My first quilt quilted on the long arm since my surgery. Not gonna lie, loading it wasn’t the easiest. But I got it done.
I really loved this cowboy print, and the fact that I had so many bits in my stash that coordinated so well!
Here is the back.
I kept the quilting simple
and used a poly batt.
This is how I did it. I free handed a large meander.
And then I went back over it weaving and crossing back and forth. I think it looks a bit like twisted ribbons.
Or a cowboy’s rope.
I had originally cut this binding for a different quilt and ended up not using it. That was handy!
This quilt finished at 42 by 52 inches. I will probably donate it. It really is out of my bailiwick, but it’s good to work that way sometimes.
Have a great day!

The twisted ribbons meander looks great. I bet it was fun to do.
What a great quilting design – I am going to have to remember it. I’m glad you are feeling up to quilting again. Do please keep taking care of yourself.
Love the quilting! Simple, but looks wonderful! Someone will really love this. Bet it feels good to get back into action! Give yourself time to heal, but keep on Stitching!!
Great quilting pattern for this quilt. GLad you are back in the swing – or at least “almost”!
That is just darling! Love it!
This looks quite effective – often simple is best, lovely to see.
Your quilting is perfect for this cute little quilt. Great finish.
What a sweet quilt! The quilting definitely has a cowboy rope vibe to me, with lots of motion. We know those cowboys don’t do much sitting around, and neither do you! Congrats on getting back in the “longarm saddle” after your surgery.
It does look like twisted ribbons. Glad you can quilt again.
