Cutting Another Baby Quilt

I cut out another baby quilt. This time, I started with this charm pack. Such a cute fabric line!

I also used this gold print that I had in my stash.

I began by cutting 5 inch wide strips out of this white solid.

Then I used this die to sub cut.

That was quick!

And this is all the waste I had.

I used this die to cut squares from the gold print.

I didn’t need to cut the charm squares at all. I even got the binding cut already!

Here is a peek at the layout I plan to use.

I love my Accuquilt die cutter. I’m certain that my carpal tunnel issues would be even worse if I had not been using this for the last several years. I’m very excited to let you know that Accuquilt released ten new dies for the studio cutter this past week! I have a couple on my wish list! Click here to see all the current deals from Accuquilt.

Have a great day!

I’m reading your posts using the accuquilt with great interest – recent elbow and shoulder strain make me wonder if I should purchase one. Looking at the website, the options are a little overwhelming! Some of the dies you used in this project look like they will work for me, any more suggestions or tips for choosing a cutter and dies? I have a lot of precuts, especially charm packs. Thanks!

  5. Love the colors of the fabrics! Looking forward to seeing the finished baby quilt!
