Yes, I know it’s Monday, but this is about Friday. Friday is a character from the novel Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. He is named this by Crusoe because that is the day they met. Since they didn’t speak the same language, he was unable to tell Crusoe his actual name. Friday would become Crusoe’s loyal friend and assistant. Hence the expression, Man Friday and more recently, Girl Friday.

Last Friday, this happened.

Please meet my new friend, Friday, the Forte.

I think we are gonna get along just fine.

Have a great day!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!
