National Quilt of Valor Sew Day!

Today is the National QOV Sew Day and I’m heading down to spend the day sewing with my Stitching Sisters group. I’m so excited! We are all bringing Disappearing 9 Patch blocks to make tops.

These are really easy. For our blocks, we started with 5 inch squares.

See them up into a 9 patch.

Then cut them in half twice.

Rearrange and sew back together.

I’m bringing 9 blocks.

    Well, Phooey! I didn’t know that yesterday was National Quilt of Valor Sew Day. I did make blocks last week and mailed them off to a QOV group, so I’m going to count that. Love the fabrics in your blocks.

    OH! Knowing it’s NATIONAL QOV sew day maybe that’ll motivate me to finish up the two, with backings, that I’m currently working on. Have fun today!
