I finished the quilt for Oscar. As you can see, the weather hasn’t cooperated for photos, so these will have to do.

I used my 6 inch tumbler die from Accuquilt . I didn’t want to cut the fabric into small pieces and this die was perfectly sized.

I used a pantograph from Urban Elementz called Malachite for the quilting. It reminds me of a topographical map.
I kept trying to pick threads off this blue print, then realized it was trails on the map. Silly me!

I love the backing fabric. I had to piece the back and I got it as close to centered as possible.

I think the center looks like a reflection.

This bench at the park looks very low, in fact, the snow is quite deep!

I’ve been enjoying using this quilt inside, but eventually it will stay in the Jeep.

Have a great day!

A Jeep quilt should be photographed out in the snow — it goes perfectly with the rugged nature of the vehicle and the fabrics! Love that panto for this — I did a similar pattern on a golf themed quilt for the same reason. Could just see this one rolled up in the back of the Jeep and pulled out to sit on watching the sun set on an off road journey. All around great quilt!
Love it! The backing is perfection and Malachite is the icing on the cake! Let me know when Studio Dies go on sale. I’ve a couple on my wishlist. oxoxo
The quilting was the perfect choice. This will be a great quilt for the Jeep.
I love your quilting on this cute quilt!
That’s a great quilt. Very cool fabrics. Maybe the lighting wasn’t great for photos, but that snow is awesome!
I love all the interesting fabric you’ve used and the lovely quilting. The picture with the jeep and snow is icing on the cake.
Hi Katy,
Okay, I’m weird but my favorite part of your pictures is all the footsteps in the snow. I can just see you fussing around, moving the quilt to the perfect position . . . stepping back and then repositioning. Did that happen??! Okay, now to the quilt itself. I love it and feel it is very worthy of Oscar. The backing – the topographical fabric (!!!!) that is fabulous. Enjoy! I can hardly wait to see your first picnic on it. Soon all this snow will be gone – someone said 60 days until Spring . . . if only. ~smile~ Roseanne
Love this! The quilting motif, like a topographical map is perfect for the all terrain aspects of Jeeps! I need to remembers this…thank you! Yes
Perfect! On or off the Jeep, this is a winner!
BEAUTIFUL !!!
Great quilt.
Your quilt turned out wonderful! Hugs,
it is just perfect!! I love the colors, the pattern, the back – what a great quilt – start to finish!
Love the backing! Great panto, too.
Every single choice you made about this quilt is PERFECT!! I love the topographical looking quilting. What Jeep lover would NOT love having this cozy Jeepy quilt in their Jeep. NONE!!
That’s a great quilt! It goes perfectly with the Jeep!
The finished quilt looks great. Fun how the fabric blends so well with Oscar!
I think it looks great I have the die for the tumbler that is about half that size and I need to start cutting into the scraps and get a box full to make a quilt with it – thanks for reminding me that I have it!
What a perfect quilt for Oscar. And a little dirt won’t even show on this one.
Great quilt! It is very outdoorsy looking and perfect Jeep ware!
Always love tumbler quilts and this is a fun one!
I like the backing too and also your choice of quilting is perfect! Thanks for linking up with TGIFF 😉
Great colours for a jeep. That quilting pattern looks great on it, perfect backing too.
I love how all your fabrics and the quilting pattern all fit with the theme of travelling around in your Jeep! And the backing fabric is just right too.
