…..I was working on the last Humble Quilts mystery, Palmateer Point? I had made all my four patches from a charm pack and I hated how it looked.
I ditched the four patches and ended up making this.

But you may wonder what became of those four patches? I gave them away to Barbara from A Joyful Journey. And she turned them into this!

Isn’t it lovely? Making these blocks and seeing what someone else would do with them was more fun than using them myself!
Daughter #2 is still here, though her BF flew home last Thursday. It has been a joy to have her home for an extended period of time! Daughters #1 and #2. And I had a girls night out last Friday.

Saturday morning, Daughter #3 showed up. We had fun hanging out and putting up Christmas decorations. Sadly, I didn’t take any photos except for this one. Little E, who is very stingy with kisses, decided to kiss all the angel ornaments on the tree!

Have a great day!

You have the loveliest family. Both quilts are great. I liked it in the original, but the red check looks good, too.
Love the quilt you ended up making. It really is fun to see what someone else can do with your, ummmm, castoffs? Anyway, I like her quilt, too. Kissing angel ornaments – priceless!
I have to agree that the two color four patches are much better in the design but I love how Barbara used the patchwork four patches. Your daughters are absolutely LOVELY! So happy you have the three of them home for Thanksgiving. Be blessed.
So glad you had time with family. Happy Thanksgiving. Love what Barbara did with your four patches.
So fun to see how those little 4 patches were used in such a beautiful way! Quilters are such creative people! You have lovely, beautiful daughters, and that little guy kissing the angels is so sweet! Enjoy your time with your family!
Katy,
OMG – kissing all the angels on the tree?! How sweet is that??! Ooh, I love this season. How fun that you got to spend time with all three daughters! I’m surprised the puppies weren’t under foot when decorating. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Enjoy! ~smile~ Roseanne
Gorgeous photo!
