The kewpie quilt is on the frame.
I decided to keep the quilting simple. I’m just freehanding loops and throwing a heart in every now and again.
Hopefully I’ll get the binding on today.
Have a great day!

Isn’t it amazing what a simple loop-de-loo can do for a quilt? I just did the same thing on a charity quilt and while binding it, I’ve been quite pleased! Not every quilt needs super-duper quilting. Love your Kewpie! =)
Very cute
This is just sooooo adorable!!
The whimsy of your quilting is the perfect compliment to this sweet quilt. Love it!
How can a quilt like this not leave a smile on your face? 🙂
Such a cute quilt.
Hi Katy,
We actually have a restaurant called Kewpie’s. It is a hamburger joint that has been in business as long as I’ve been around – a LONG time. It think it opened in the 30s. Anyway, they have a huge collection of everything Kewpie – pins, dolls, purses, glasses, mugs, plates and more. They make delicious hamburgers to-order, fries piping hot, milk shakes the old fashioned way, and serve root beer in icy mugs. If you are a Kewpie fan, and ever get to Racine, Wisconsin, you have to drive down to the lakefront for a visit. I love the quilt and especially the quilting. The loops and hearts are just perfect for this fun quilt. ~smile~ Roseanne
