It is amazing to me how fast projects come together when they are all cut out ahead of time! My die cutter made kitting up projects for my stay in AZ so efficient!
These quarter square triangle bits were pieced as a leader/ender project last summer.
I cut the rest of the pieces just before I came out here for the winter.
I started piecing this before my parents came.
I didn’t get any sewing done while they were here, but it came together quickly while watching Gilmore Girls!
And here it is! At this point, it measures 75 by 85 inches. I will add borders when I get home.
Have a wonderful day!

I don’t have a die cutter yet but I think it’s about time I invest in one. 😉
Your suggestion for a die cutter?
Wonderful quilt! I find that even planning WHAT I’m going to cut helps it go faster. I like the optical illusion of this quilt.
Love this quilt, Katy! It makes me smile!!
This is so pretty!
very lovely- you really did think ahead
I’m loving it Katy ! It’s a very fresh quilt !
Wow that turned out big! So pretty.
A beautiful pastel quilt. Love the stars and the way the quilt looks against the brick wall. Hope your stay in Arizona has been enjoyable with the little boys there. Merry Christmas.
I love 30’s reproduction fabric and look forward to seeing the fabric/color you use to border it (not to mention seeing it QUILTED). Great job, Katy!
Looks delicious!! You know, the good kind of “cotton-mouth”!
What a sweet quilt! Those 30s repro fabrics are always so cheerful and cute.
This is beautiful!
A very happy quilt! Makes me smile to look at it. : )
That looks amazing! two questions: what do you do with all the quilts you make? and how do you get any sewing done watching Gilmore Girls…I can’t seems to take my eyes off the screen LOL!
I agree with everyone it is a bright and cheerful quilt! It will be fun to walk by your bedroom door and see it on the bed, it will just brighten your whole day. Hugs,
I agree, this is such a cheerful quilt. A fun thing to see this morning as we await a winter storm. Looking forward to seeing the finish!
Well if that isn’t the most cheerful quilt! It is just beautiful. And, I think we all look forward to seeing it finished when you return home. Thanks for sharing.
It’s looking amazing!
