Finish It Up Friday – Dinosaurs!

Happy Friday, everyone! The Dinosaur quilt for Ezra is done!

This was a really fun quilt to make and it gave me a chance to use both my embroidery machine and my hand dyed fabrics, neither of which get used as much as they should.

Here is a shot of the back.       I used Angela Walters’ idea of dot to dot quilting in the hour glass blocks and a simple loopy design in the background of the embroidered/appliqued blocks.

Daughter #1 is very happy with it and that makes me happy too!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

So adorable! I like what you chose for the quilting. It lets the embroidered parts and hourglasses really shine. Baby E will love it, I’m sure! (Will he be Baby E? I see that his Big brother is Little E. Hmm.)
