Good Morning! It took much of the day, but I was able to finish the quilting on the Little Sister quilt. Since these are leftovers from the quilt I made for my big sister, it seemed an appropriate name. Better than Leftovers! Here’s a sneak peek:
This kind of quilting takes me a very long time! I got the binding attached and spent some quiet time hand stitching last night.
I started stitching lattice blocks together this morning. But before I started, I had to re-press some seams. I originally pressed the all the scrappy rectangles toward the red and blue triangles like this.
I re-pressed the seams away from the blue triangles. Now those seams will nest well when putting blocks together.
I would like to get all the rows sewn before work.
Yesterday I met one of the gals from the Stitching Sisters QOV group and picked up three more tops to quilt. I also ordered batting. JoAnns has 40% off all batting right now and you can get 15% off and free shipping on top of that. I ordered two of their Pellon 70/30 20 yard bolts.
Have a beautiful day!
