Yesterday, Mr. Wonderful and I spent the day bumming around. We went to a few garage sales, a farmers market, an antique fair, and some antique malls. The weather was perfect and we had a great time. The mister found this lovely little machine in the first place we stopped. It was made in the 1950’s by the Artcraft Company.
We also found this tiny little Casige machine.
Some of these booths are so inviting!

I picked up a few more pieces of enamelware as well.
I love the little boxes with lids. I have quite a lot of this so I am pretty picky about what I buy and it has to be very inexpensive. I’m willing to wait for a real deal on any antiques. It is part of the fun for me.
At the Farmer’s market, I picked up one of these:

I love to hang my clothes on the line but always used an ice cream bucket for my clothes pins. Now I have a real pin bag! I could have made this myself, but I’ve been hanging clothes out for 27 years and haven gotten around to it, so it wasn’t likely to happen.
I took along some slow stitching but didn’t get much done. It is my plan for today as well.
We celebrated Father’s Day a few weeks ago with our local kids but I have to give a shoutout to Mr. Wonderful.
And to my own dad as well.
Linking up to Kathy’s Quilts for Slow Stitching Sunday.

Fun – and you picked up some really great finds! I like that booth, too.
Love your little hexies. What size are they? And that clothes pin bag is adorable!
Great finds. I keep meaning to make myself a peg bag but have never got around to it either. My mother always buys one for me from the local craft fairs
My DH will go with me to quilt shops, but I think he would draw the line at antique malls and yard sales. He is content to let me go on those treasure hunts alone–and I do. : )
Love the little machines!
Such find antique finds. Finding just the right thing at just the right price is all part of the fun.
Your little machines are soo cute ! Enjoy this father’s day with your family !
What a great day for you and Mr. Wonderful. How lucky you are to have such a thoughtful partner. I was blessed with one too. We loved antiquing together on Sundays.
I love all your finds but the enamel pans always make me smile inside for whatever reason. My mom had a clothes pin bag (likely home made). I have a black and white photo from the early 50’s stashed away somewhere of her standing next to the clothes line and her faithful dog at her feet.
Those are marvelous little sewing machine! Great garage sales 🙂

What a fun day! Enjoy your slow hexies today 🙂
I love those little machines. I made a clothes-pin bag for my mom years ago when hers fell apart and we couldn’t find another. That is a great find. Love your hexies.
It sounds like you two had a fun day together! Enjoy your time today. Hugs,
The little machines are precious! I will keep my eye out for some of those enamel ware boxes with lids–they look like great storage for sewing goodies.
My mom used to have one of those clothes pins bags. Sounds like you and Mr Wonderful had a great day together. Have fun sewing today.
I really need to put a clothes line up but will have to be careful – the boys in the family are allergic to things so theirs would need the dryer. That clothes pin holder reminds me of my Mom and her clothes lines. =). Cute little machines and I love your hexies. I need to pull mine out and start the black surround one of these days. Seeing yours makes me want to go grab it now!
How cute those little machines are and I had to laugh because my clothespins are in a plastic baggie and some are just permanently on the line. Sheets in the wash now and hoping for a rain break so they can line dry later. That pin bag is so cute…never even knew there was such a thing.
