I spent a lot of time yesterday responding via email to recent comments. Then I found that most of them came back as undeliverable! So if you asked me a question and didn’t get an answer, please ask again.
Yesterday, I did a little quilting before work and nothing after. I think it was my first chance to do nothing since my trip and that is what I did. I wrapped up in quilts by the fire and read a book. All day.
Today, I will continue my lazy streak by slow stitching while watching Downton.

If I get real ambitious, I may quilt another row of this.

I decided to just quilt a grid in the background. The rest of the quilting is done so I just have to go back and finish the grid/ruler work.

I had to share with you this lovely tea towel Daughter #3 found for me while thrifting.

Isn’t it awesome? I have been collecting vintage tea towels for a while. Not sure why or what I will do with them. But I love them.
Remember Friday I was watching my little man? Well I reached into the diaper bag and pulled out this!
A layer cake of Denyse Schmidt’s Hadley line! Daughter #1 knows I love Denyse Schmidts’s fabrics. She is so thoughtful.
Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!
Linking up with Kathy’s Quilts for Slow Stitching Sunday.

Hi Katy. It feels good to take a day or 2 off and just veg. I love the quilt you have on your long arm. It is beautiful. Great fabric from you daughter. BTW…I just ordered the Accuquilt Go. I can’t afford the one you have but I am so looking forward to getting mine. Hugs, Cathy
You have a wonderful daughter! Happy stitching to you.
What a thoughtful surprise! And so wise to take a day off and curl up under a quilt with a good book. Hope you enjoy Downton as you stitch. I did ask earlier in the week if you’ve picked up on a couple of other UK tv series? I’ve been following: ‘Call the Midwife’, I enjoy the stories based on an autobiographical book, and the amazing social history of 1950’s East End London; and ‘The Musketeers’, a very dashing troop of men getting into all sorts of adventures whilst defending the King and Queen of France ( Friday night relaxation tv!).
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Allison

Enjoy your stitching today… with Downton, it’s the perfect way to spend a day!
