Thank you for all the lovely comments and emails regarding my tumbler tutorial. I will post again soon showing the piecing differences when using templates that do not have the nipped corners.
But first, here are pics of the quilting process.

I used my own variation of Angela Walters’ hooked swirl design. You can see her video tutorial here.
Here is a shot of the finished quilting taken in late afternoon sun. The shadows are from the window mullions.
And here are pics of the finished quilt after washing.
For some reason, I had a terrible time trying to get a decent overall photo of this quilt! The closeups are better but still not would I would like. Sorry for that!
I am working on a 2014 wrap up post but it may take me a few days to get that ready. In the mean time, Happy New Year and I wish God’s riches blessings on you all.

I really like that quilt and your quilting is just perfect! For some reason I never thought of using a neutral in between tumblers. I’ll have to try that soon. Your die cutter is a Studio, isn’t it? Mine is the regular sized Go! and as far as I know only comes with the 6 1/2 inch and the 3 1/2 inch size tumblers. I’d like a mid size in there! Great job and thanks for sharing your process. Happy New Year!
Wow…your quilting is so amazing and then, your quilt is unique, awesome !!
Bravo Katy !
I wish you a happy new year, for you and your family…and lots of quilts to make !!!
I love the quilting design! Great job, Katy!
