Today will be spent helping Daughter #3 finish her not so secret Christmas gift for her favorite guy. She has done a fabulous job picking out a pattern, cutting pieces, and sewing. Time to get those last bits added and start the quilting! Here are some more sneak peeks.

I should be able to post the finish this Friday so stay tuned!

I came here via your Design Wall Monday link on Judy’s blog (love your hexies and log cabins, BTW!) and then stumbled around to this post. Questions: What is your daughter using as a seam guide on your Featherweight machine? It looks like a piece of wood but I can’t think how that would stay in place while she’s piecing? I use a vintage Singer cloth guide on my FW that screws into the bed of the machine. Second question — I see you have a long arm machine in the background. Do you quilt for others professionally, or is that machine just for your personal quilts? I’ve only just started looking into long arm machines. Would you recommend your machine, and if so, can you please tell me which model it is and what you like best about it? Thank you!
What kind of machine is she using? Love it! Can’t wait to see her quilt 🙂
They ARE a gorgeous couple … and I cannot wait to see the finished quilt. Merry Christmas!
Beautiful family. What is that block on the sewing machine? Is that a homemade 1/4 inch guide?
Such a cute couple. Can’t wait to see the finished quilt. Your little mystery quilt looks cute on the wall by the door! Merry Christmas!
They make an adorable couple!
