I finished my SQT challenge quilt yesterday. I didn’t realize until I was taking pictures that I messed up the block layout! Oh well, it is growing on me and overall, I am pleased with how this turned out.
I used all vintage fabrics, including some I picked up at the antique fest recently. It measures 9.5″ x 12.5″. I used Mountain Mist Blue Ribbon batting. I really love it for small quilts like this. It is quilted in a hanging diamonds pattern. It is the first time I have done this but definitely not the last!
I used part of a vintage feed sack for the back and turned the backing to the front for the binding.
This was such a fun little quilt, not sure why I waited until the end of the month to make it!
Linking up with Connie at Free Motion by the River for Linky Tuesday.
A real beauty. Nice quilting
I love the fact that it is a bit idiosyncratic!
Also love that chain stitch sewing machine!
Yikes! That reminds me that I haven’t even started my July quilt yet! I have been busily working on my swap quilt and a baby quilt for a baby that I forgot was due! π
Love your little quilt. I must try that hanging diamonds quilting. I love it!
I love your little vintage quilt! Mountain Mist is a favorite of mine for my small quilts! Hugs,
