Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Part 2

Many of you are aware that this is the week for the SMS Giveaway. You may not know that there are actually two parts to the giveaway. The first is here. It is for fabric and crafting supplies (see my post from yesterday for a chance to win my hand dyed fabric bundles). The second part (here) is a give away of handmade items. No guilt here, the project is finished when you receive it!

Which brings me to today’s post. This is my entry for the handmade portion. I have two small quilts here in distinctly different styles.

20140512-170737.jpg
The first was made for a Small Quilt Talk challenge last year. It is made from Civil War reproduction fabrics.

20140512-170938.jpg
The second is decidedly modern and is made from Denyse Schmidt fabrics.

20140512-171052.jpg
There will be two winners here! And how do you win? Leave a comment telling me which little quilt you would prefer. My followers may receive a second chance to win by leaving a second comment telling me how you follow (Bloglovin, e-mail, etc.). Winner will be chosen by random drawing and announce on Sunday, May 18th.

Then head over to Sew Mama Sew for chances to win other cool stuff and discover some great blogs!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

  84. Lisa S. says:

    Katy,
These are both beautiful pieces and I know the kind of work you put into them because I follow you via the Blog and Bloglovin. It’s very difficult to choose…I love Denise Schmidt’s fabrics so much and I could tell you the names of each one going across, starting at the top left. BUT I am really, totally enchanted with the colors of the Civil War Reproduction. My friends would all say that the CWR is worked in “my colors”. I haven’t really seen pink and green in any old quilts and I think that is what draws me to it so much. So, I guess you should put my name in the Civil War Reproduction hat please!
Once again, thank you for parting with some of your lovelies, so that we might enjoy them in our homes as well.
