Design Wall Monday

Hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did. I got a bit of my fast and slow stitching done yesterday. Here is my “fast” project that wasn’t very fast.

It was a bit fiddly to do but I am happy with how it turned out. I need to pick up some minky and ribbons to finish it off.

I also got some slow stitching in while watching a very interesting documentary with Mr. Wonderful called Runaway Slave.

And here is one more reason I love my hubby:

He started these daffodil bulbs in the garage a couple months ago. We had enough snow today that we needed to shovel again but I had daffodils blooming in my kitchen!

Your hexies are looking good and the daffodils are beautiful. It says Spring for sure. I’d say your sweetie is a keeper!

  2. Joanne says:

Oooh, daffodils! I could use some of those to cheer up my house right about now! That LEGO mini-fig block would be perfect for a label on my son’s quilt. Did you design it or can you point me in the direction of a pattern?

  3. Great lego block! Did you design it or get it somewhere?

  4. Linda M says:

    I love the lego block!

  5. What a cute block of the Lego guy. And, yes, Mr. Wonderful sounds like a keeper. Love Sue’s idea. Oh my, you are doing a great job with the hexes.

  6. Sue Daurio says:

Little lego guy is super sweet! But not quite as sweet as your Mr. Wonderful. We’re suppose to get 8 more inches of snow today, daffodils would be a great distraction. Maybe I’ll just print your, glue to a wooden skewer and put it in a vase 🙂

  7. Ruth says:

Our daffodils are just poking above the ground, no sign of a flower yet but they are on their way! Love the lego man!

  8. Libby Smith says:

I remember forcing narcissus bulbs for Christmas. Never thought about forcing daffodils. Very thoughtful husband!

  9. Ramona says:

Oh, I am ready for some blooming daffodils in my yard, but it’s going to be a while! Your hexies are beautiful. Love the fabrics you are using. And your little man is so cute!

  10. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those fabrics you’re using on your hexies! I would have made one of those Lego men quilts several years ago as my oldest grandson just loved all things Lego … but at 12 he’s “over” Legos … and into Skylanders and Transformers. 😉
