Saturday was the National QOV Sew Day. I had to work but I made up for lost sewing time by starting my blocks last week and sewing most of the day Sunday. I was able to finish two 16 patch tops. One got quilted.

I used a panto from Urban Elementz called Cool Beans. I hope to get this bound tomorrow and the next one loaded in the frame.

This came out beautifully. The blocks are just the right size and the colors are so rich looking. It also looks like it feels like butter! The recipient of this is going to love it! I love the FMQ you did on it too. Especially the name, Cool Beans. That was my “catch phrase” when I was a kid. Everything was Cool Beans. My mom would say I had chores to do and iwas like “Cool Beans Mom.” You have to go for your allergy shot (I hated those with a burning passion). Cool beans Mom! Thank God I outgrew that!!
I didn’t realize Saturday was National QOV Day. I did a bit of work, but not on that.π I will put it on my calendar for next year. Are there any other special dates I should know? Being new to quilting social community I still need to catch up on a few things.
