So what is a girl to do but stay in and sew? I also did a bit of a cleanup in the sewing room and gave my oft used featherweight a bit of regularly scheduled maintenance.

See that pile of blocks? They will become anther QOV. I did a bit of rearranging to accommodate another person in the sewing room. My friend, Sarah, came over for a sewing lesson. She did such a great job! I cleaned and oiled this machine so she could use it.
These Singer 301s are such great machines! I have two, maybe three….
Thanks to everyone for the lovely comments on my signature swap quilt finishes this week. I so appreciate every person that stops by. I found a great place to hang my second swap quilt. This is in our upstairs hall. This was another project on my list for the FAL 2014 hosted by Katy at The Littlest Thistle. My original FAL post for this quarter can be found here.

We are having company for lunch today so i need to get to work. Happy Saturday!

Perfect, absolutely perfect way to spend a cold day! (Or any other day, for that matter!)
I sure love your old Singers … sure makes me wish I had held on to my Mom’s … but back then, I’m not sure anyone knew the value of those old Singers … at least I didn’t. 😦
Yes, great weather to stay in and sew. I am not sure my kids feel the same way.
Hi Katy When convenient, stop by my blog, pickinstitchin.blogspot.com for a look at my treadle and etc. hope to see you there Judy

just popped over from Lori’s blog. It is great to see the work of so many other quilters and you said you liked visitors to leave a message so….. I am always in awe at the accuracy of long-arm quilters – like the pattern on the border of your signature quilt. I love pattern and do a lot of fmq, but it is much more ‘consistently inconsistent’. You seem to be having a really cold time over there (I’m in UK). Nearly every blog I’ve looked at talks about the cold. Keep warm under all those quilts

yes, there is absolutely nothing better to do on a bitterly cold day! enjoy!
