Design Wall Monday

Good Morning! I pieced the last block yesterday afternoon, or so I thought…

Um, yeah…. Apparently I can’t count. I needed to either piece one more block or change the layout and piece three more blocks. I had three 6 inch blocks so I thought I would try them out.

Interesting but not quite right. I pieced three Puss in the Corner blocks and out those in instead.

Much better. Now I need to decide if I want sashing or not.

  1. I like your final setting … the blocks you chose don’t detract from the signature blocks but do add a little visual interest. I’m waffling on the sashing … obviously your fabric choices would make that decision a little easier. But I’m confident that whatever you decide will produce a gorgeous quilt!

    Beautiful scrappy quilt.

    I. agree with your additional block choice. Tough decision the sashing issue. I would have to lay it out on top of your sashing choices to see if you like that better.

  4. Diane says:

I think the sashing could provide more focus on the writing….so just depends on what you want to emphasize. It will be fun either way.

  5. This is so pretty! I love the unexpected blocks placed randomly!

Beautiful setting. I love all the reproductions.

  7. Libby Smith says:

Good solution. Your random placement of the renegade blocks keeps my eye moving around the quilt.

Wow — what a beautiful quilt! I like the setting you finally decided on … I like it without the sashing, but it’s hard to tell (unless if you have EQ) what exactly sashing will look like in there, without cutting it and laying it all out! Can’t wait to see what you decide! šŸ™‚
