Quilting the Tree Everlasting

I started quilting the Tree Everlasting yesterday. I decided to do the cross hatching in the red strips.

I am happy with the crosshatch but am considering adding more. This is the first time I have done continuous curve freehand (triangles) and it is harder than it looks! The white thread doesn’t help but it isn’t terrible. The thread is Glide and I am using Magnaglide bobbins.

I decided to go with the panto in the white strips and it fits perfectly! I am being VERY careful lining it up but I love how it looks.

I am nearly half done and hope to finish today since I don’t have to work. Yay for Saturdays off!

I have been pondering the pure goodness of God lately. It never diminishes, though my awareness of it sometimes does. As we deal with yucky weather, crabby people tired of winter (myself included!), mess, snow, and slush, I am going to try to keep my focus this winter on His blessings and goodness. He always has my best interest at heart. I need to remember this. He is my tree everlasting.
