This quilt goes together quickly! These columns aren’t sewn together but I couldn’t wait to get a peek at the pattern.
I still have a few more of these HSTs to go. I am hoping to get this top finished after work today.

It is such a great book. I loved A Thousand Splendid Suns and Kite Runner and this one is just as good.
I found a short blurb on the Tree Everlasting pattern in this old book:
Obviously, mine will not have as many columns. It will probably end up as a Quilt of Valor. I can’t wait to quilt this! I think I will do continuous curve in the triangles and either feathers or cables in the red and write strips.

Oh my goodness, wow. This is really amazing. I bet I have this book. This looks so cool done up in red and white solids. How will you quilt it? With red or white thread? I’m anxious to see what it becomes.
