Another for QBB

I tried out another pantograph yesterday. This one is called Starburst and is free from Ubanelementz. They have several free designs. I would like to order from them soon. This top was made by someone named Donna for Quilts Beyond Borders. I love how graphic it is!

Here is the back:

I am thinking I should use more prints for the back of my quilts! I used a gray Glide thread and Magnaglide prewound bobbins for the back. I also used a low loft poly batt called Pellon Siliconized Batting. It comes on a 20 yard roll from JoAnn’s. it is 60″ wide so there is almost no waste for the QBB quilts.
Until next time…

  1. I use prints all off the time for my backings. It hides any little wobbles in the quilting as well as starts and stops. I can change thread color if needed and it doesn’t show up in the prints either.

  2. That is a realy pretty quilt! You’ve done a good job quilting it, too. Coincidentally I was looking at the QBB site yesterday when I saw your post about the first quilt you did for them. I’m thinking we’ll make some quilts for them, too, especially since I think I could hand them off here in Houston without having to mail.
