This is the question I intend to pose to the Quilt Art List! And I will go first. This is what is up right now:
And this:
And just for fun, this is what is on my main work table:
And this is my latest knitting project, another pair of socks:
These are size 4 needles. The pink is much brighter than this picture shows. I just love varigated yarn! This is Sinfonia, a 100% cotton yarn that I bought at Hobby Lobby. I have never worked with this before but so far so good. I am not the greatest knitter in the world but I love making socks. The only thing I DON’T like is not really knowing if they will fit until I have put a bazillion hours into them. Hopefully I will have the first one of the pair done this weekend.
Until later….what are you working on?
Hi, Katy!
Thanks for posting that question on the list. It’s been really interesting to read all the responses and see all the WIP.
I *love * your work–the ladder-looking pieces are so cool. And I am envious of how organized you have your stash. I need to take a lesson…
BTW–thanks for looking at my blog. The words on the Mushrooms piece are: Istun seene otsas: which means: Sitting on a mushroom!
I love how organized your fabric is. I keep outgrowing my cabinet space and bought wire cubes and now they’re filled. I think it’s time to clean out and donate what I’m not using.
I like what’s going on your design wall. As far as knitting, I usually just make afgans or wash cloths. I’ve tried making sweaters, but usually, one sleeve is long than the other, or it looked better in the pattern book. Best wishes with your socks.
Katie, your workspace is so tidy compared to mine! My fabric is always in a jumble on my work table.
Love your work in progress, can’t wait to see it finished!
I am working on several pieces. I have an orange, blue, and white piece and another that is grape and olive green that is ready to be quilted. I made a bunch of baby quilt tops and they are layered on top of each other on the design wall waiting to be quilted. I am also working on installing my window extention jambs and trim for the entire house.
