I wanted to say thanks to everyone who sent e-mails and left comments about my last post. I haven’t come to any hard and fast conclusions but I think Myrna’s comment said it best for me. She said, “The reason that we like the work of certain artist is because their work contains elements of our style. It makes sense. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be drawn to them. ” I think I agree with this.

I may get back to that piece tomorrow but in the mean time, I was reminded of this piece that I started quite a while ago.

This is turned 90 degrees from what I had originally planned. Just today I thought, what if….. so I turned it and think I like it better this way. I may finish it now. I was ready to throw it away before. Have to think about how to quilt it.

I did a bit of sketching tonight. More ladder ideas. I need to sew tomorrow. I am going to start substitute teaching soon and that will seriously cut into my available sewing time so I need to take advantage of the time I have now.
