Not a bad month in the sewing room, even with all the craziness.

Have a great day!

A Fun Little Project!

This little man spent the night last weekend. He loves to do projects when he comes over.

So we got out the fun foam.

A fun AccuQuilt die.

And we got t9 work!

He wanted me to see it’s so easy, he can do it standing on one foot. 😂

Then we got to work mixing and matching and glueing.

We cut up fridge magnets and glued them on the back.

E3 was very productive!

And very proud of his magnets!

I love my AccuQuilt GO! for making stuff with the grands!

Have a great day!

Stalled Out

All the blocks are made. My original plan was to set these with sashing and corner stones.

I made these 8 inch blocks from this layer cake.

But for reasons I cannot explain, I find myself bored with this. I do not know why.

Before I go, here is the big Cyber Monday deal at AccuQuilt ! 30% off e everything! Just use the code CYBERDEAL when you check out. This deal ends tonight.

If you need me, I’ll be looking for my sew-jo….

Have a great day!

Slow Stitching Sunday

It’s been an age since I’ve done any hand quilting. We have a road trip coming up and I wanted to get something ready to work on during drive time.

I love this simple vintage 9 patch! It has such fun fabrics.

This quilter was not bothered by having like fabrics touching!

The plan is to baste this today and Star hand quilting.

I just need to figure out the quilting design. I want something simp,e that I don’t have to mark. maybe hanging diamonds? We shall see.

Have a great day!

This and That

Have you ever made a quilt and then wished you had made it bigger? That’s how I feel about this one.

I said goodbye to this guy this week. I got him for Christmas when I was quite young. My kids think he’s creepy. A grandpa bought him to play with his grandkids.

Willy found a comfy place to sit!

Did you know that Jeepers “duck” other jeeps as a way to say, nice ride? Oscar got ducked at Costco this week.

I’m making a half square triangle dishcloth to use up some yarn.

Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday ~ Parsonsfield

I finally finished this little bit!

I certainly caused myself some extra work, but in the end, I do love this piece.

This backing is an old piece I had on hand. I even used it for the binding.

The crosshatch quilting is a bit of a pain to do on the long arm, but the texture makes it worth it.

A huge shoutout to Lori at Humble quilts for another wonderful quilt along. Have a great day!

A Tiny Finish

I decided to make something from some small vintage scraps I had on hand.

Working with vintage fabric is not easy. The bits were very flimsy and worn. I starched them, but it didn’t help much. I cut them into triangles and pieced my pinwheels.

Please ignore the mismatched points! Yep, you just went and looked, didn’t you? 😂

I found a fun scrap for backing and quilted it in a hanging diamonds pattern with my walking foot.

It finished at about 6” by 9”. I used a single fold binding.

It’s a humble little bit, but I like it. Have a great day!

Trip Around the World

Yes, I know I have an unfinished project, but this has been calling to me.

I cut out these 3 1/2” squares some time ago. They are all from my stash of Denise Schmidt fabrics.

I wasn’t sure how big I wanted to make the blocks.

I think I want them pretty big.

I love the first layout. I’m not so sure about this second one. But it is fun to play.

Have a great day!
