I added borders and loaded this on the frame.

I decided Baptist Fans would look good on this. And they did!

Until I messed up the alignments. That lead to some grumbling and ripping.

But it’s now done and ready for binding.
Have a great day!

I’m so thankful for all of you and your sweet comments over the years. I hope you enjoy this look back at some of the heart quilts I’ve made over the years.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
I chose my fabrics and got started on my June Tailor pillow kit. ! I decided to use some of my long hoarded hand dyes.

These kits are similar to foundation paper piecing, except the lines are for fabric placementment, not sewing lines.

It’s basically a flip and sew technique.

Ta daaa!

Time to finish this up! You can find this and other June Tailor kits by clicking here.
BTW, if you bought an AccuQuilt Cutter and never opened the box, or you are unsure what to do with it, I’ve got a perfect solution for you!

As some of you may know, June Tailor became part of AccuQuilt last year. They sent me this fun kit for making pillows so I could share the process with all of you!

The kit has pattern directions and this batting, printed with seam lines on it.

I’m thinking about a color palette similar to this small quilt that I made a few years ago in a quilt along hosted by Lori of Humble Quilts.

Now to try and find that fabric! Wish me luck!
Have a great day!
Happy Super Bowl Sunday! We are having Daughter #2 and SIL over later to watch the game (and commercials!). I plan to work on this during the game.

I know it’s hard to see, but I did get quite a lot done while driving back from Michigan.

I’d really like to get this wrapped up soon. Have a great day!
Need a free pattern for a Valentine quilt? This one I wrote for AccuQuilt is under the free patterns tab on their site.

This just made me laugh!

I’m a real introvert so this doesn’t seem like a bad idea sometimes. 😂

Finished another puzzle this week. It’s a shame that a piece was missing.

And lastly, I have a book recommendation.

I learned a lot about women in WW2 that served our soldiers by driving Red Cross club mobiles. They served coffee and donuts along with a warm smile and taste of home.
Before I go, I noticed this fun deal from Connecting Threads.

I’ve always had really good service from Connecting Threads . Their prices are great as well, so this is just an added perk!
Have a great day!

No finishes for me this week! I did get all my 9 patches together.

I think it needs a border yet. I hope to get that done and get it loaded on Harry this weekend.
Have a great weekend!
Not much sewing to show, so here is a throwback post. Enjoy!
Here are all the bed sized quilts that I finished in 2015. The first three are all from vintage tops and were not pieced by me.

The next one was recently gifted to my niece and her husband for a wedding gift.

This one was made for my older sister.

Have a great day!
That is the story of my life right now! But I do have some progress on my 9 patch.

I was going to look for a difference stripe, but couldn’t face digging through boxes. 😬

You can also tell that I have been just grabbing and sewing without laying everything out first. It’s hard to get to the design wall with all those boxes in front of it. 🤦🏻♀️
Before I go, AccuQuilt Studio Dies are on sale!

Have a great day!
