Hmmmm…. There’s a thought…

A recent walk after the rain.

I love my grand dogs!

Sunsets are so pretty here.

Another puzzle.

This could work for me….

Have a great day

Finally! This quilt has been in the works forever.

And it isn’t even that big! Just about 54 inches square.
I can actually say that I’m happy with the binding on this one.

I stitched it to the front, pressed away from the body of the quilt, then used my clips to hold it in place. I sewed it from the front in the ditch.

I’m not crazy about the back, but it won’t show hanging on the wall and I didn’t have to go back and restitch anywhere.

It’s now hanging in my hallway.

Have a great day
We are still doing a bit of rock hounding, and I’ve had the tumbler going.

I have so much to learn. This is my latest batch. It’s a mixed bag. Some are pretty good. I had hoped that most would turn out better. But it’s still loads of fun. Most of these were picked up on our trip last summer.

And yes, the next batch has been started.
It is just so beautiful out in the desert.

The mister is a good sport about my hobbies.

Do you see what I see?

A sweet piece of chalcedony!

I was hoping to find fire agate, but came home with a bucket of this instead. Not valuable, but I love it.
Have a great day!
I’ve been perusing Pinterest for Christmas craft ideas. This one uses paper lunch bags.
I used cardboard to make a template.

I cut three bags at a time like this. I used a total of nine bags.

Excuse my sorry diagram here, the blue shows where I put hot glue to glue the bags together in a stack. after all nine are glued this way, put hot glue on the top bag and bring the first bag around to complete the circle..

This is what you get.

Clearly, my technique needs work. But it was fun.
Have a great day
I feel like I’ve been wandering around aimlessly lately. It’s been a tough few weeks around here. First losing my sweet boy and this past week, the loss of a beloved nephew. Other issues have added to the turmoil.
But God. In Him, we live and move and have our being. He is our ever present help in trouble. Our comforter and friend. He is always good.
So I’ve been pondering so many things and doing a bit of sewing here and there. The next step for the Quiltville mystery is done.

And I’ve finally loaded my Tree of Life quilt.

I also shortened the sleeves on a couple outfits for my grand dogs, Charlie and Slinky.

Doxies have very short legs, you know.

Have a great day.
Does this look familiar?

I decided I would add these to the four inch 4 patches I’ve been making as leaders/enders.

Have a great day
This Summit Stitches quilt is my clear favorite this month.

I also finished this throw quilt.

And these bags.

Have a great day
My current read.

Our peach oleander is blooming and it is lovely.

Gracie with her emotional support can. Don’t worry, we have a can opener that leaves smooth edges and we check to make sure nothing is sharp. Also, she just likes to carry it around. Silly girl! She always makes me laugh and has been a great comfort.

Speaking of comfort, my girl Winslow has been sticking close by as well. She is such a sweetheart.

I loved this puzzle. And better yet, no missing pieces.

Have a great day

I try not to inundate you all with ads for affiliate sites. But the commission I earn helps to cover the costs associated with a blog of this size. I appreciate so much when you click through from my site to make a purchase as it adds a few Pennie’s to the blog fund.
Have a wonderful day and happy shopping!
My version of this quilt may be quite boring. This is my final fabric pull. Yep, just four fabrics. And I’m only making half as many blocks.

Per Bonnie’s rules, I won’t share which dies I’m using, but I am using dies.

Step One is now done. This mindless sewing was perfect for me just now.

Have a great day
