Lucy Progress

I have all my diamond blocks put together!

I love the piece that has two “Ws” in it.

I can’t say that I really need a table runner in these colors, but it is fun. it currently measures 13 by 45 inches.

Before I go, I want to share this amazing deal with you from AccuQuilt !

This is a great time to suck up on mats and accessories as well as that die that’s been on your wishlist. Remember to use the code shown above. This deal won’t last, so don’t wait!

Have a great day!

Traveling Home

I love this little cactus light. If it’s on, you know I’m home in Arizona. I turn it off when I leave and on when I come home.

But before that happened, there was a long cross country trip! Here is Dora and Oscar.

This girl loves traveling in the RV!

Every time we stop, Willy tries to take over the driving. 😂

We had the most lovely visit with my mother in love in Missouri. Isn’t she beautiful?

After we left her house, we met up with Mr. Wonderful’s sister and BIL. They have an RV also and we enjoyed a wonderful trip to New Mexico with them.

Our first night was spent in Eagle Nest.

Then we moved on to Taos.

I particularly enjoyed a stop at Taos Pueblo. We had a very good tour guide.

This bridge straddles the Rio Grande.

After a few days, they went back to Kansas and we went west to Arizona.

It’s going to take a while to cleanup Dora and settle back in here so I’m not sewing yet. But I had lots of posts scheduled ahead of time so there will still be quilty content.

Have a great day!

More Family Time

Daughter #3 and SIL came for a visit.

Along with Daughter #1 and her fam.

Sadly, it was our last get together before we headed west. Games were played.

I even caught a couple fish!

The mister did as well.

Great memories were made though only a few photos were taken. I love my family!

Have a great day!

This and That

My daughters had this puzzle made for me many years ago. It’s only about 250 pieces so I brought it to do in Dora. The photo is from a quilt I made long ago. I don’t have room for puzzles bigger than this.

I’ve been enjoying these Madelines with my morning coffee. They came from Sam’s Club. They are the best I’ve had since we lived in France.

As a bonus, the container is the perfect size for these finished blocks!

Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday ~ Flying Fish

I had this little top in my To Be Quilted in AZ pile. But then I decided it wasn’t all that precious, so I might as well quilt it on the machine I have with me.

This is not even close to a professional job, but it is finished. So there’s that.

I had a chunk of this Denyse Schmidt print for the back and the binding was leftover from something else.

I love this rustic bridge in the campground.

A good wash gave it a nice crinkle.

Have a great day!

Lucy

Remember that old song, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds? That’s what was going through my head while stitching this. I cut white half rectangles and stitched them up.

And these are my blocks. They will finish at 2 1/2” by 5”.

I haven’t decided how to set these yet, but I do like them!

Have a great day!

Woven Star QAL

I thought I’d make a couple of these blocks every day. It hasn’t worked out that way. In an effort to make some progress, I decided I would do ten this time.

I’d kind of forgotten how messy paper foundation piecing can be.

But I sure do love these blocks!

Have a great day!

September Wrap-Up

No real finishes this month, but I’ve got tops!

And I have blocks! So glad these are done.

And I made serious progress on my tiny 9 patches top.

All in all, not a bad month.

Have a great day!

Slow Stitching Sunday

I decided to go ahead and hand quilt this little doll quilt. Jean was right, it was begging for it!

I’m starting by just stitching in the ditch.

Then I stitched in between those rows.

Now I’m trying to decide if I should add more. It’s a one inch grid now, should I go to a half inch grid? Hmmmm….

It’s very relaxing. I hope I can find enough of something for a binding.

Have a great day!
