Charm Square Quilt

I have a gazillion charm packs. The local Project Linus is in need of baby quilts so that was a great excuse to rip one open.

I cut the charms into quarters and also cut 1 1/2” strips of white and navy blue.

After stitching the strips together, I put them crosswise on my strip cutting die to subcut them. I should have taken a picture of this, but I forgot. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also cut 1 1/2 inch squares. Now I’m ready to sit and piece.

Here is my first finished block.

Have a great day!

Tiny Nine Patches

It’s time to get back to work on this little project.

The next task is to make borders from the leftover squares. I’ve decided to do this as a leader/ender project.

These squares are cut one inch. Tiny!

This and That

It was fun to find a quilt I made hanging in the AccuQuilt booth at QuiltCon!

My adorable grand dog, Milo.

The mister and. Tried our hands at panning for gold. 😊

We recently watched this. Such a great movie!

For Valentine’s Day, we ate at our favorite German restaurant. It was fun to notice this patio decor.

I think from now on, I will refer to my sewing room as The Growlery.

And I leave you with this thought.

Hav3 a great day!

February Wrap-Up

Four finishes this month! I also made decent progress on a few other things, so I’m happy.

This is definitely my favorite.

Or maybe this one is my favorite!

All small quilts, but I’ll be making up for that with a huge quilt next month.

Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday ~ Diamonds

After all my fussing, this turned out okay. It isn’t my favorite, but it’s done.

I still love this floral print.

I used a plain backing.

It does show the quilting well.

Have a great day !

I did it!

The mister was working at Daughter #2s house and I made myself work on these borders.

It was no small feat, but it is done. You can see in the photo below how huge this quilt is.

I also figured out a backing. I picked up this solid yellow. Sadly, I have to piece three lengths to get a piece big enough. Wish me luck.

Have a great day!

Trip Around the World Borders

I’ve been struggling with borders for this top. I need to add borders to get this up to king size.

I found the fabric on the far right. It is the first fabric I bought this year. The blue was in my stash. I will use it for the inner border.

Now I need to find the motivation to cut and sew these.

Have a great day!

Tree of Life Update

I now have four blocks finished.

And the next four are cut out.

I really have no idea how many of these I will make. Once I have this next group made, I may play around with some layouts.

Have a great day!

Unstuck or Just Plowing Ahead

I’ve decided this definitely needed a border. I’ve tried out so many pieces from my stash, and this is the best I could come up with.

This is the pantograph I’m using.

Let’s get this thing done!

Have a great day!
