Since tomorrow is Independence Day, I thought I would share some patriotic quilts! Enjoy!

This is the jelly roll I’m using. I’ve had it for ages so it is likely out of print.

These blocks are super simple. I found a photo on Pinterest and the block was called Jelly Roll Chain. The link was broken and I couldn’t find any info when I googled it. 🤷🏻♀️

One down, 41 to go!
Have a great day!
After having hoarded this jelly roll for years, I decided I wanted to make a Jelly Roll Chain quilt with it.

I cut the white squares I needed before we left AZ. I set up at our dining table and sliced and diced this jelly roll.

Now I have 42 blocks ready to sew. And I have these leftover bits. Hmmmm….

Have a great day!
Here are my finishes for June.

The last two are just tops. They will get quilted when we return to Arizona.

Have a great day!
After visiting family in lower Michigan, we headed for the UP.

Gracie loves the shoreline!

Crossing the Mackinaw Bridge in an RV is a bit crazy!

Next we took a cruise to see the Pictured Rocks National Park.

It was amazing and I took a gazillion photos.

The next day we went to see this. I went when I was very young and never forgot this.

The raft/boat has an open bottom so you can view the spring.

Mister was a worthy captain!

The water really is this color!

I took this photo while awaiting our turn.

This made me laugh!

Have a great day!
My sweet girl!

This got me thinking:

Yay for naps!

Living in an RV, this is very good advice! lol 😂

And one of our recent camp sites.

Have a great day!
My top is done. It is a great size for donating to project Linus. The pattern is called Star Pop and it is available from Emily Dennis.

I never pressed the top after sewing the rows together. My 12” square pressing pad works well, but not so much for bigger things.

This is about as big as I want to go sewing in the RV. Small projects and blocks are much easier.

Have a great day!
Here is another look back. Gosh, I love this one. Enjoy!

I still can’t quite believe this is done! A sweet online friend and blog reader, Jan, gifted these blocks to me several years ago.

It took me a long time to decide how to put them together.

I used a plain muslin on the back.

It really shows off the quilting.

Someone put so much work into these blocks.

It certainly looks like spring to me!

Dear Jan, I’m so thankful for your generous heart! I think my emails to you have been bouncing. I hope you know how much I appreciate these beautiful blocks!
Just for fun, here are a few pics taken after washing.

Have a great day everyone
Sewing again! I changed my previous post about this, but wanted to let you know here as well. This pattern is called Star Pop, NOT Sparkle Pop.

And I have a helper again today. 😄

I placed my blocks on the design wall (bed) and, oops!

I got that fixed and I’m ready to sew my rows.

Have a great day!
Remember the Scrappy Meets Thrift challenge? These are the pieces I cut for my second version.

I’m using this as a leader/ender project.

So far, I have 25 two inch blocks.

It’s a perfect leader/ender project.
Have a great day!
