The Oregon Trail

After Idaho, we moved into Oregon! This is a place where the wagons ruts are still visible.

This Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Baker City was fantastic.

The wagons were so small!

This just made me sad.

Now I’m reading a book about the OT. But you probably knew that already. šŸ˜„

Have a great day!

Twin Falls

Our next stop in Southern Idaho was in Twin Falls. It is a small, but beautiful city. This is Shoshone Falls.

I see some quilt inspo here.

The Snake River winds through and the canyon is gorgeous.

We took the opportunity to kayak here.

Such a cool place! Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday ~ Doll Quilt

My little doll quilt is done. Not perfect, but done.

I pulled the backing to the front to bind it and the corners got a bit wonky.

Here’s the back.

All fabrics are vintage except for the backing/binding. It finished at 8 by 11 inches.

Have a great day!

Way to go…..

After Grand Teton NP, we headed to Idaho!

We spent a couple nights in the town of Arco.

I loved these buildings fashioned from lava/volcanic rock.

We checked another National Monument off our list!

Did you know there were remnants of volcanos and lava fields in Idaho?

The landscape was otherworldly.

That is Mr. Wonderful in the photo below.

Definitely a cool place to visit! Have a great day!

Grand Tetons

After several days in Yellowstone, we went to the Grand Teton NP. It was also stunning, but different from Yellowstone.

Have a great day!

Slow Stitching

Remember this? I have kept to vvvveeerrrryyyyyy slow stitching.

But progress has been made. I have quilted the outermost round of Baptist Fans and started on the next round in.

I also have the hand sewing of the binding done, so when the quilting is done, the quilt is done!

Have a great day!

Yellowstone!

You just cannot capture Yellowstone in a few photos. Nonetheless, here is my attempt.

This elk is named Ethel and she was an unofficial resident of our campground!

This was the original park entrance.

What an incredible place! Have a great day!

Wyoming and Montana

I didn’t mean to turn this blog into a travelogue, but that IS what I’ve been up to! After South Dakota, we headed into Wyoming.

It is beautiful!

This was fascinating.

From there, we headed into Montana.

We camped in Gardiner, Montana as it was right by the northern entrance to Yellowstone. I’ll share about that soon!

Have a great day!
