We are still doing a bit of rock hounding, and I’ve had the tumbler going.
I have so much to learn. This is my latest batch. It’s a mixed bag. Some are pretty good. I had hoped that most would turn out better. But it’s still loads of fun. Most of these were picked up on our trip last summer.
And yes, the next batch has been started.
It is just so beautiful out in the desert.
The mister is a good sport about my hobbies.
Do you see what I see?
A sweet piece of chalcedony!
I was hoping to find fire agate, but came home with a bucket of this instead. Not valuable, but I love it.
I’ve been perusing Pinterest for Christmas craft ideas. This one uses paper lunch bags.
I used cardboard to make a template.
I cut three bags at a time like this. I used a total of nine bags.
Excuse my sorry diagram here, the blue shows where I put hot glue to glue the bags together in a stack. after all nine are glued this way, put hot glue on the top bag and bring the first bag around to complete the circle..
I feel like I’ve been wandering around aimlessly lately. It’s been a tough few weeks around here. First losing my sweet boy and this past week, the loss of a beloved nephew. Other issues have added to the turmoil.
But God. In Him, we live and move and have our being. He is our ever present help in trouble. Our comforter and friend. He is always good.
So I’ve been pondering so many things and doing a bit of sewing here and there. The next step for the Quiltville mystery is done.
And I’ve finally loaded my Tree of Life quilt.
I also shortened the sleeves on a couple outfits for my grand dogs, Charlie and Slinky.
