Scrap Management

Well, my scrap cart has gone from this:

To this:

Obviously, I still have a lot of work to do.

I generally think of my fabrics in two broad categories, brights/modern and repro/darks. The pile of scraps in the front of the cart are modern, the back is repro stuff. I haven’t started processing the repro stuff yet.

This bin went from this:

To this.

A lot of modern/bright scraps from the cart ended up in that bin. I plan to make another scrap quilt from rectangles eventually. I also added a bunch of 2 1/2” squares to this bin.

This bin before:

And after:

I pulled these out for my string bin.

I made progress and that feels good. But I’m not done yet.

I plan to take part in another QAL this year to be hosted by Taryn, @reproquiltlover on Instagram. I’m waiting to cut up my Repro scraps until I know details of that so I can cut those blocks from my scraps.

Have a great day!
