Finish It Up Friday ~ Summit Stitches

This post was originally scheduled for last Friday.

My little quilt is done!

I quilted it with small Baptist Fans.

I found this very old Virginia Robert’s print in my stash when I was sorting and folding. It makes a great binding.

Here is a peek at the backing.

I actually made my little quilt bigger than Lori’s because I had so many four patches made up. So the center of mine is more like the antique inspiration quilt. But I did my borders differently. I’ve seen this treatment on a lot of vintage quilts and thought it worked pretty well.

Here is the original inspiration quilt for comparison.

So thankful that Lori generously does these QALs each year.

And here it is hanging in place. BTW, mine finished at 34 inches square.

Please visit Humble Quilts to view the links party.

Have a great day.

Love this one! Yours is even better than your inspiration. Don’t know if I have the patience for all the four patches though. Sent from my iPhone
