The next step for the QAL is out! I was thrilled to find I could use my 4” Qube to cut the necessary pieces.

These are the dies I used.

I cut all pieces from the scrap bins.

Ta daaa! Five 4” sawtooth star blocks.

I wonder what is next.
BTW, are any of you doing the Quiltville Mystery? I’ve never done it, but I just might this year. I can’t do pinks and purples though. Any tips for a newbie to Bonnie Hunter mysteries?

Have a great day!

I haven’t done it the last few years but I hope to do it this year again. The pace is usually fast with many small pieces but lots of fun especially if you keep up with all of the clues. I have never been disappointed with the final result although most of my tops are still not quilted, as I do not have a longarm. She does have a Facebook group now where people are posting their color, fabric choices and progress. You definitely should try it at least once and you don’t have to make it full size. Many people make a smaller version and you can, of course, stop at any point. I hope you will try it this year.
love this quilt along!
well you like small pieces so that is to your favor. BIG number of pieces and parts every Friday . Cluses come to fast and close and small pieces . I have done 2 to completion. have one still in progress and started one that never got off the ground past clue 1 or 2 . Much prefer Meadow Mist Mystery 1 clue a month, big segments.
Go for ir and have fun
My tip for Bonnie’s mystery quilts is to make sure you maintain the color contrast Bonnie has in her colors with the colors you chose. I would also suggest you sew some of each clue as they are released, whether or not you’ve completed the previous clue(s). It is not a race although some quilters must sew 24/7 with each clue…..I’m a slow sewer and just enjoy the process.
