I pieced this small top when we were traveling in Michigan. It is finally finished for real!
I found the perfect binding fabric in my stash!
The blue backing is not a perfect match. But it was leftover from another project and the perfect size, or so I thought!
This is cutting it too close and why your long armer means it when she says your backing must be bigger than the top!
Anyway, this is the pantograph I used.
This was a great quilt for using a layer cake.

The binding is perfect! Looks like you had barely enough backing to squeak by, whew!! I accidentally loaded a backing sideways recently, causing the length to run short……unloading, adding a strip and reloading is frustrating :-(. I’ve taken to marking the top of my backings now, lol.
