The Oregon Trail

After Idaho, we moved into Oregon! This is a place where the wagons ruts are still visible.

This Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Baker City was fantastic.

The wagons were so small!

This just made me sad.

Now I’m reading a book about the OT. But you probably knew that already. 😄

Have a great day!

Hi Katy, you’re visiting my homeland. Oregon is incredible with many diverse geographical areas.

Personal story: my great great grandmother brought my great grandpa west on a wagon train. She came from a wealthy family and chose to sell her wagon & critters in Sheridan Wyoming to finish the trip by train vs exposing her children to the winter cold in the wagon.

I have her diary, it’s amazing! Those people were so tough & brave.

    Have a great trip!

  3. There was a book series I read years ago, three books by Jane Kirkpatrick, the first entitled, “All Together in One Place”. I highly recommend. Thanks for sharing the photos. That wagon is so small!
