After quilting and trimming this came the scary part, cutting the opening.
Then I made miles of bias binding and attached it all by machine. My workmanship here is not good. Hopefully no one but the dogs will have their noses this far under the tree!
I used some red cording I had on hand to make ties for a closure. The backing was pieced from my leftover Christmas fabric.
Don’t look too closely! It is far from perfect, but it is done.

I love it – we always think our projects lack so much but like she said above, many will think it’s a masterpiece…plus with all those presents, if there are a few mishaps, who will see it? 🙂
i think it looks great…besides, people who don’t sew or quilt will think it’s a masterpiece….true….but definitely not a humble quilt…
