Finish It Up Friday ~ RWB Bow ties

I’m chuffed to bits about this baby quilt finish!

It turned out even better than I had imagined.

I used the tiny blue check that I used in some of the blocks for the back and binding.

I tried a little experiment to finish the binding with perle cotton. I thought this would be faster than traditional hand finishing. And it was.

It finished at about 36 by 42 inches, a good size for dragging about.

Have a great day!

Thank you! I didn’t actually stitch all the way through to the other side when doing the binding this way. I attached the first side by machine and finished by hand.

Oh, I adore this finish! What a fun take on the traditional bow tie block and it wonderful you had enough of the blue check for the backing and binding. Was it hard to needle through all the layers doing the binding that way? I love the look it gives 🙂

  5. de quilt is prachtig.
