Remember these? I needed something small to practice machine quilting, so I got busy piecing.

Not bad.

I added borders and basted. I’m still tryin* to decide which machine to take in the RV this summer. I’d like to be able to to quilt small things on whatever I take.

I pulled out one of my vintage Singer 301s out to try.

I couldn’t find my walking foot.

So far, so good.

Then I got a little lazy. I eyeballed lines and things got ugly quick.

If I can find my darning foot, I might try a stipple in the border.
