My quilt for the Fat Quarter Shop Woven Hearts Quilt Along is done!
I used Ginghams from Lori Holt.
The intense sun can do funky things with photos here.
I knew I wanted to do some graffiti style quilting in the negative space, but I am seriously out of practice!
Things got better toward the bottom of the quilt.
Love this gingham binding.
And this giant gingham backing!
This quilt finished at 70 by 70 inches.

I sent a link to this post of yours to illustrate our American quilt national craft to my new refugee friends from Afghanistan. The 6 year old asked why we would sew little bits of fabric into designs for blankets. Not having much time, my incomplete answer was “for fun”. Since the momma likes to sew. I will follow up.
